All artists go through creative slumps and there are thousands of articles out there about how to become inspired to create. I personally have just been through a lot of changes in my life and art has really taken a back seat. It's like I want to feel that creative juice coming, but it just isn't there. Life is leveling out for me a bit and I am at least interested in getting back into my studio; even if it's just to clean up the space, and cover up some old paintings that I'm tired of seeing. My plan to get things flowing again is to just get out and live life again. I plan to see some new places, get out in nature and meet new people. I've also renewed my interest in music and reading. I am making a concerted effort to take care of myself and help my spirit to grow. Speaking of spirit, I want to make sure that my devotion to God and my prayer life becomes even richer. I can't do it without Him. Lastly, I will spend time in my art studio. I will mix and splash and throw some paint around if that's what it takes. I am looking forward to becoming inspired again and who knows what might happen? It might be something wonderful!
